History:

This was the first Weston and was bought from the Furness Railway where it was numbered 35A. This loco was similar to the B2 Clevedon also being an outside-framed well tank ‘single’, but with larger cylinders and boiler. Note the narrow cab and oval nameplate. Driving wheel diameter was 5ft 71/2 in. Weston was more powerful and heavier than Clevedon and lasted longer on the railway, but only until 1906 when it was sold for scrap.
