History of Portishead in Bloom
In 1996, North Somerset Council approached Portishead Town Council and the Portishead Partnership with the suggestion that the town entered the South-West in Bloom competition. The Chairman of the Town Council, Tean Kirby, called a public meeting asking for support. Since then, the Group has gone from strength to strength.
